Our metal hairpin 3' tall garden fencing looks antique for your historic home. These iron fence panels are welded steel fence that is handmade in Illinois. The design combines hoops with vertical, cast iron finial-topped stakes. All verticals (spaced at 3 - 1/4 inches) welded to 2 horizontal bars.
This pattern is made to install easily so you don't have to hire a contractor. Every 14" the vertical rods extend into the ground 9". The 2 horizontal bars have holes predrilled on the end. All you have to do is overlap the horizontal bars and line up the holes then slip a finial topped stake through the holes and on into the ground. When installed each section will cover 43.5".
We furnish three finial topped stakes with each section of fence purchased. You need to purchase an
extra staking spear whenever your run of fence stops at a gateway, tree, or far end.
For those wanting a more finished look you can purchase the 1.5" square finial topped posts. Many of our customers also use these at corners and every few sections of fence. We make these posts to be placed into the ground or on hardscapes like decking, sidewalks or pavers. We weld a metal square shoe on the bottom that has pre drilled holes so you can bolt it down.
Our wrought iron fencing and gates are unfinished which oxidizes to a rusty finish. Our rustic looking fence works well with most homes and neighborhoods. The solid welded iron fencing will last for generations and never has to be painted. Some of our customers do choose to paint it and we recommend a rusty metal primer and then top coating.
