This Wrought Iron Des Moines Gate has an antique style with its hoop and arrow points design. Our 6 ft x 6 ft iron yard access gate provides an antique look that is versatile enough for a modern home or a classic cottage. Some of the iron gate's elegance comes from the industrial designs of the 1800s, when Americans started fanning out to the Frontier and later settling the Midwest and Plains.

Some architects of the time, like Andrew Jackson Downing, brought Gothic designs to the nation's country homes and farmhouses. The cast iron points on this iron gate throw back to those times when a fence and entry gates system meant a developing and morally upright family dwelt within the property.

This gate will work for a selection of openings, so choose your post-to-post measurement at checkout. We do add the Drop Pin Latch at the bottom of one panel and send a ground receiver for that latch. Our welders are now making this gate using 1" square tube stock to add strength to your entry gate.

This welded steel gate works with our 6' tall wrought iron fencing panels that connect to it. We have posts for sale if you would like to use this gate with your own fencing. We are offering several steel post sizes and caps. The 1.5" square post is adequate when connecting with our fencing in a fence run. If you are using a stand-alone gate with posts only and no fencing, we recommend the 3in square posts.

We do have several latch options to fit your needs. We stock iron gate posts, or you can add wall brackets to mount to brick pillars or wood posts.
