Free Shipping to the lower 48 United States
Most products sold on American Iron Fence are large or heavy or both. We ship big, sturdy iron products coast to coast, so we often will ship your order via freight truck with a liftgate service. The freight company will call you to schedule delivery, and the driver will have a way to lift it down to your curbside.
We Ship To Businesses Or Right To Your Residence
Smaller items can be packaged and ship through FedEx Ground.
Larger, heavier items need to ship through a freight company and will deliver by a large tractor trailer. They usually park on the street and offer curb deliveries only. Normally they have a lift gate to drop the order to the ground and move it to the side.
Business Deliveries - To be classed as a business you need to keep hours and be located in a business district. They will not call for an appointment so someone needs to be there during business hours to sign for it or there will be redelivery fees.
Residential - The trucks deliver right to your home. The shipper will call you to give you a window of time when the truck will arrive. An adult needs to be home to inspect and sign for the shipment. If for some reason you are not there redelivery fees will apply.
Inspect Your Shipment For Damage
We rarely have a problem but if you do find any damage you will need to make note of the problem on the driver'’s bill of lading before they leave.
If you are not able to see all the product to inspect it while the driver is there you need to write "Subject to Inspection" with your signature on the Driver's Bill of Lading and inspect the material as soon as you can.
