6. Shipping and Delivery

We ship products throughout the United States using various carriers including parcel and freight services.

Important shipping information:

Delivery times are estimates only

Large or heavy items may ship via freight

Customers may be responsible for unloading freight deliveries

Customers must inspect shipments upon arrival.

Any shipping damage must be reported within 48 hours of delivery.

7. Returns

Returns may be accepted for standard, non-custom products within a limited timeframe.

To be eligible for a return:

Items must be unused

Items must be in original condition

Return authorization must be obtained prior to shipping

Customers are responsible for return shipping costs unless the item arrived damaged or incorrect.

Custom, fabricated, or special-order products may not be eligible for return.

GROUND DELIVERIES
In the event that an item arrives damaged from transit by ground or freight service the customers will have 10 days from the time of delivery to report the damage to us with photos to document. We will always stand behind our products and replace or repair any items damaged during shipping.

FREIGHT DELIVERIES
All freight shipments needs the customer to be home to sign for the shipment and inspect it for breakage. Rarely does our shipments have any problems but if you do find any damage you will need to make note of the problem on the driver's bill of lading before they leave.

If you are not able to see all the product to inspect it while the driver is there you need to write "Subject to Inspection" with your signature on the Driver's Bill of Lading and inspect the material as soon as you can.

At American Iron Fence, many of our products are handcrafted or fabricated to order. Because of this, we handle cancellations differently depending on the stage of the order.

Order Cancellation Requests

Customers may request to cancel an order by contacting us as soon as possible after placing the order.

If the order has not yet entered production or shipped, we will do our best to cancel the order and issue a refund.

Orders Already in Production

Many of our products are handmade or custom fabricated.

If an order has already entered production, cancellation may not be possible. In some cases, a partial refund may be issued, minus the cost of materials and labor already invested in the order.

Shipped Orders

Once an order has shipped, it cannot be cancelled.

At that point, the order may only be handled under our Return Policy if applicable.

Please note:

Shipping charges are non-refundable once a shipment has been sent.

Freight shipments that are already scheduled with a carrier may not be cancelled.

Custom or Special Orders

Custom items such as: Custom gates, Custom fencing, Special sizes or designs are not eligible for cancellation once fabrication has begun.

These items are made specifically for the customer and cannot be resold.

American Iron Fence limits your return payments to the cost of the items purchased only. No shipping costs will be refunded. Items need to be returned at buyers expense in original condition before refunds are made. Re-stocking fees may be applied to orders with custom cutting or welding. Items that are painted or take extensive amount of time to process to insure safe deliveries will also be subject to re-stocking fees.
